Best Men’s Clothing Subscription Boxes of 2021 to Build Out Your Wardrobe

And there’s not much more to it than that. The whole process is mercifully simple and straightforward—unlike doing laundry. Peruse the brand’s offerings to pinpoint the options that are right for you, or put your fate in Team Stance’s hands and hope you don’t end up with a pair of socks/undies you’re going to dread reaching for when more optimal choices are lying at the bottom of the hamper.

Price: $19 for one pair a month.

The Other Contender: Stitch Fix

Stitch Fix is another subscription service that work on the same basic model as the rest: fill out a form, work with a stylist, receive a box of clothes, pay a $20 styling fee that gets applied toward anything you choose to keep. The stuff they sent us was…totally fine. Solid. Maybe a little dad-ish—and not necessarily in the cool way. Stitch Fix serves up a mix of low-to-midrange brands you’ve seen in malls (Original Penguin, Jack & Jones, Tommy Bahama) and a few generically-named ones you haven’t (7Diamonds, Hawker Rye). They’re totally workable options if you aren’t really looking to push any boundaries with your style and just need clothes for clothes’ sake. But for just a little more dough, we’d probably choose Trunk Club over it any day of the week.

Stitch Fix Price: $20 styling fee per box, which will be applied towards any items you choose to keep. If you decide to keep everything, you’ll receive 25% off the entire box.

The Accessories Specialists: Sprezzabox

Sprezzabox exists to help you accessorize like a pro. If you’re the type of dude who has no trouble at all getting dressed but tends to falter a touch when it comes to the finishing touches, this is the monthly box for you. (Assuming, of course, you can look past the name.) Each month, Sprezzabox will deliver a selection of accessories—think ties, socks, and various grooming accoutrements—curated by its team of stylists and delivered straight to your door.

After signing up for a new monthly subscription, you’ll have the option to choose which type of box you’re into—a process that repeats itself at the end of every four weeks. If you don’t have time to choose, or don’t care enough to, the brand will pick a new, duplicate-free box for you. The site’s offerings skew towards the more basic side of classic menswear (you probably won’t find any funky foulard ties here) but if you’re looking to spice up your back-to-work wardrobe with minimal effort this certainly isn’t the worst place to start.

Price: $28 per month, or $20 for a year.

The Best Subscription Box Turned Loyalty Program: Frank And Oak

Sad news, Frank And Oak fans: As of this past July, the Montreal label’s subscription box is no longer. For now, the brand is is offering access to a spruced-up loyalty program that promises exclusive pieces, specialty pricing, and free shipping and returns, among other perks. If you’re the kind of dude who likes to find a brand that really works for him and stick to it religiously—and if that brand happens to be Frank And Oak—then this program is the next best thing to its recently-shelved service.

Frank And Oak’s hip-adjacent duds tend to look best on younger, leaner folks who work in offices with high ceilings and lots of free snacks. That is to say: expect to see a whole lot of trim chinos, patterned button-downs, and Vans Old Skools—the kind of wardrobe you’d come across during a stock photo search for “millennials.” It’s a specific look, sure, but the stuff is all pretty well-made for the price, so if it works for you and fits you the way it should, this is a great option.

Price: Free after signing up.
